The Office of Education and Training for Addiction Services (OETAS) is a section of the Information Services Division of the Maryland Alcohol and Drug Abuse Administration. Our mission is to design and deliver addictions training to meet the varied needs of professionals across Maryland who work with at risk, substance abusing, and substance dependent individuals and their families. For over thirty years, OETAS has responded to the needs of beginning and experienced addictions practitioners by providing high quality continuing education training.
OETAS sponsors courses, workshops, seminars, and conferences throughout the year, in both commuter and residential settings. We offer a wide array of training topics, from basic to advanced, and base our curricula on research demonstrating effective prevention and treatment practices. In addition to scheduled training, OETAS offers customized training designed to meet your agency’s unique needs.
Over 2000 students participate in OETAS training events each year. Our satisfaction rate is 97%.
