  • Heroin study - analysis of treatment admissions with heroin and related data to gain insight into the apparent decline in heroin abuse in Maryland.
  • Enhancing Adoption of Science-based Practice: Information to Power Innovation in Maryland Substance Abuse Treatment (IPIM). The study seeks to improve delivery of treatment services in Maryland through the implementation of a self-evaluation protocol. The impact of the protocol will be tested on evidence-based practice implementation and organizational functioning in a set of treatment programs.  The study is carried out by the University of Maryland Institute for Governmental Services and Research (IGSR) and funded by the National Institute on Drug Abuse (NIDA).
  • IFB Performance study - Analysis of outcomes of categories of patients entering treatment through the Invitation for Bid (IFB) process.
  • High-end Services User study – Analysis of characteristics of patients with multiple residential treatment episodes over the past three years.
  • Recovery-oriented Data Analysis – Analysis of available recovery-oriented outcomes data and recommendations for additional measures.
  • Medicaid analysis – Comparisons of patient characteristics and outcomes by source of payment for the Substance Abuse Medicaid Workgroup.
  • POSIT study – Validation of POSIT problem scales, trauma index and scores.
