Alcohol and Drug Abuse Administration The Alcohol and Drug Abuse Administration (ADAA) is the single state agency responsible for the provision, coordination, and regulation of the statewide network of substance abuse prevention, intervention and treatment services. It serves as the initial point of contact for technical assistance and regulatory interpretation for all Maryland Department of Health and Mental Hygiene (DHMH) prevention and certified treatment programs.
ADAA also serves as a resource for information about new trends in services and provides a Resource Directory for finding substance abuse services locally. "Frequently Asked Questions" offers information for consumers and providers on resources related to the ADAA.
ADAA is located on the campus of Spring Grove Hospital Center in Catonsville, Maryland. (Driving Directions and Campus Map)
